Miss New York Nina Davuluri wins and bested the crown for Miss America 2014. And despite the possible consequences of her root talent with a dance performance of Bollywood fusion, Nina Davuluri receives huge racism in the social media yet wins the crown anyway.
Nina Davuluri makes a history as she crowned in Miss America pageant that has an Indian background. The 24-year-old Nina Davuluri is currently studying medicine to become a doctor and plan to use the $50,000 prize money to fund her studies.
"I'm so happy this organization has embraced diversity,""I'm thankful there are children watching at home who can finally relate to a new Miss America." Nina Davuluri said in her first press conference, moments after winning the crown in Atlantic City.
